Feature Details  
New Features and Enhancements
  • Added support for the Loftware Label Manager on 32-bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008.
  • Improved printing performance on ZPL Printers with firmware x.10 or later for labels using True Type Fonts (TTF).
  • Enhanced debugging and logging utilities.
Bug Fixes
  • True Type fonts (TTF) are now printed correctly on generic text printer drivers.
  • True Type fonts with accented characters (such as those used in French) now print correctly when passed in a fixed text field.
  • Resolved an issue where attempting to reassign an incomplete printer in the printer grid does not work correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where label description and printer information were missing in the File Preview dialog when a label file is selected..
  • Changing printer model in the printer grid now does NOT cause connection re-assignment.
  • Fixed an issue where high ASCII values were removed from the data if the label has a field with a scripting data source.
  • Loftware does not support the Loftware Label Manager version 9.7 on Windows 2000.
  • Other Loftware products, including the Loftware Connectors and Loftware WebAccess, are currently NOT supported on Windows 7, Vista, or Window Server 2008.
  • Created a consolidated Installation Guide for the Loftware Label Manager and the Loftware Print Server. The new guide is available on the CD or download package, and in the Download > User Guides section of loftware.com.

  • Field Reverse command for barcodes is now supported for ZPL printers.
  • Introduced a debugging tool that identifies running Loftware processes on a system, creates optional reports of the processes and creates a mini dump for each process that can then be utilized by the Loftware Technical Support team for further analysis of any odd behavior.
Bug Fixes
  • UTF-8 formatting can now be maintained through a setting when the data is passed to a non-printing field on the ODP Form.

  • Added support for Zebra ZM400 and ZM600 RFID printers.
Enhancements
  • Improved printing performance for the labels that contain many fields and a script data source.
  • Performance improvements on Eltron (EPL) printer drivers.
  • Performance improvements in printing of labels associated with a page layout for Zebra (ZPL) printers.
  • The ratio for the code 39 barcode symbology can now be set in 0.1 increments for Zebra (ZPL) printers.
  • Users are alerted when the DSN is changed so that they can check if they need to change any advanced connection string values.
  • Datamatrix barcodes can now be printed on Zebra printers at a fixed size by using reserved field names.
Bug Fixes
  • UTF8 data in the True Type Font (TTF) fields overlapped on a background image now prints correctly when using Windows and PDF drivers.
  • Tear Off command is now honored correctly on the Zebra QL series printers.
  • Incrementing fields on labels with layouts are now counted correctly after network disconnects.
  • Fixed an issue with Print Preview on labels containing formulas where a formula was being used to populate a paragraph field.
  • Loftware Label Manager (LLM) Designer now always shows a confirmation warning message to you when you try to copy fields from one label to another label that has a field-list.
  • The Force Max # Chars setting now applies to data entry fields on the On Demand Print form.

Feature Details
New Features and Enhancements
  • ‘Print Preview’ now resolves the formulas and data sources used on the label.
  • A new setting for the Zebra Printer Language (ZPL) in the ‘Preferences’ window now enables a user to set the anchoring of the Datamatrix barcodes to the bottom-left instead of the top-left (which is the default behavior).
  • A new setting in the ‘Preferences’ window now enables a user to truncate the length of a field to the value specified in the ‘Max # of Chars’ property for the field.
  • When a user copies fields from one label to another label that has a field-list, Loftware Label Manager (LLM) Designer shows a warning message asking the user to confirm the operation. Upon confirmation, the fields are copied to the new label along with their respective field names.
Bug Fixes
  • Leading and trailing spaces are now automatically truncated from the printer names.
  • Text fields that use True Type Font (TTF) and use leading spaces for padding now print correctly and no longer shift position on the label.

  • Eltron Programming Language (EPL) graphics can now be printed on printers with number 101 and higher.
  • Fixed the field–level java script print–time failure which occurred when non–printable ASCII characters such as formula functions were encoded in a barcode.
  • Fixed the label rotation error in field–level scripting. Labels having rotations other than 0 degree can now be used.
  • Resolved inverse printing for True Type Fonts (TTF) fonts.
  • Updated installation process to install the four sample ODBC data sources.
  • Labels are not lost when ‘WaitRead’ flag is set to 1 in the LLMWDN32.ini file.
  • Modified ‘Help > About Window’ in Loftware Label Manager Designer to fit the licensing information in the display area of the screen.
